My 7.5 pound Chihuahua mix adores this bed. Settled right in and is cuddling away. Was shipped just fine for me, and I haven't washed it yet so I'm not sure about the shedding problem, but so far so good! If it washes up well, I'll be ordering another for the car.
One thing to note - 18" is the outside diameter. Inside diameter is closer to 15". Most beds give an inside and outside measurement to consider, since this one only gave one measurement I just assumed it was outside diameter so I wasn't upset or disappointed by the size in the lease.

I think the bed for my small dog is great as is. Its has enough padding for her at the bottom and is soft and warm. She went right to it and night as she has been sleeping on our pillows. She doesnt like a lot of padding as she sleeps on the carpet some nights. I'm glad its washable 100%.

This item is well made and soooooooooo soft inside. I wanted to crawl up in it and take a nap myself. Our two dogs
jumped right into their beds when I took them out of the package and haven't stop crawling into them since. I would

why so many negative reviews?

i bought two of these beds about 4 months ago and couldn't be happier with them. i was reading through the reviews and found alot of negative reviews and can't figure out why. they are extremely soft and cuddley, my dogs practically live in them! they get washed at least once a week, sometimes more and they are just as great as they were the day i opened them. i have two cockers and the beds seem to just envelope them, often they both pile into one. i haven't run into any issues of the material shedding at all either. a plush and cozy bed!!

The bed arrived quickly and is beautiful, however, the fur lining sheds everywhere even after washing the entire bed and pad. I would not buy it again because of the shedding issue.
